When can we have a party?

We offer shared space use for your party or special event during our open hours Tuesdays through Saturdays in two time blocks: 9:00AM-12:00PM or 1:00PM-4:00PM . Reservations are first-come, first served, and our reservation calendar below is generally up to date.

What is the cost?

We do not charge anything to use our shared space. We only require that you use our catering services to purchase something. There is no set minimum order.

What kind of lead time do you need?

If the timeslot you want is available, claim it! We have it set up so that reservations close four days before the timeslot.

May I bring in external food or drinks?

Sure thing. Feel free to bring in cakes, bottled drinks, etc.--but please use our catering services for your cookies, muffins, sandwiches, coffee, and tea.

What about decorations, crafts, entertainment…

We will provide a table with chairs, a table for food setup, and plates, napkins, and cups if you need them. You are welcome to bring decorations such as tablecloths, balloons, wall hangings (with painter’s tape or other damage free hanging materials), etc., so long as they are family appropriate and do not disrupt the rest of the Cafe guests.

Similarly, for crafts or entertainment, please be mindful this is a shared space. You are very welcome to bring crafts, balloon artists, facepainters, etc., but be aware that there will likely be other children running around and curious about what’s going on! As long as you are willing to manage that with a spirit of kindness, hospitality, and flexibility, we’re good with it.

How does catering work?

We offer a catering menu of coffee, tea, muffins, cookies, and sandwiches. We can also open a tab for your party at the register so that your guests can order espresso drinks, waffles, and other cafe offerings if you like. Please place your catering order at least 48 hours in advance of your party.

Can you accommodate allergies or other dietary restrictions?

Out an abundance of caution and for your safety, if someone in your party has dietary restrictions please plan on bringing your own food.

Do you offer private or after-hours reservations?

Due to staffing constraints and shared space use with other organizations, all parties have to happen within our standard opening hours. For after-hours reservations, you may contact Lew Valenti, our broader facilities manager, for more information.
